Update: Serious traffic crash, Beenleigh

A woman has died following a serious traffic crash at Beenleigh this morning.

Preliminary investigations indicate that around 4.45am, a car was travelling westbound along Milne Street when it left the roadway and collided with a pedestrian on the footpath.

The 60-year-old Mount Warren Park woman suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition, where she has since passed away.

The 25-year-old male driver was uninjured.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

Investigators are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash – or may have dashcam footage of the incident – to contact police.
