Planned burn operations in Hinchinbrook Island National Park
Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service will be conducting a planned burn on Hinchinbrook Island National Park commencing on Wednesday 18th July 2018. The fire will be in the Nina Bay Lowlands and Nina Peak highlands area. Smoke will likely be seen for several days as the fire burns slowly around the hills on the north-east side of the island.
